THE RECIPE
Yields roughly 3 cups
prep time: 15 minutes
ingredients:
4 medium ripe avocados
1/2 cup tomato, chopped (beefsteak or roma tomatoes are my favorite for guac!)
1/2 cup fresh mango, chopped
1/4 cup red onion, diced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 1/2 tablespoons fresh jalapeño, diced
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground chipotle powder
method:
Carefully cut your avocados in half lengthwise and remove the pit. Scoop out the flesh of the avocado with a spoon and put into a medium-sized bowl.
Roughly mash your avocados with a fork or a potato masher. (Avocados should still be a little chunky after you’re done!)
To the same bowl add tomatoes, mango, red onion, garlic, lime juice, jalapeño, salt, pepper, cumin and ground chipotle. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are combined.
Optional: Garnish the top of your bowl with extra mango and chipotle!
recipe notes:
Best enjoyed immediately or prep a few hours in advance and store in the refrigerator until it is ready to be served!
