Let’s be real.. when it comes to big salad bowls or having raw veggies as a snack, most of us love pouring on a bunch of dressing to give it that extra bit of flavor! With that being said, traditional store-bought dressings always seem to be loaded with extra oils, sodium, preservatives and unnecessary ingredients that can turn your healthy salad into meal that may make you feel sluggish afterwards. So does this mean you need to ditch all dressings? NO WAY!
I’ve been making this zesty greek yogurt ranch dressing on repeat in my kitchen lately! It has the perfect creamy consistency and sacrifices none of the flavor of traditional ranch.
For the base of this recipe, I use a 2% unsweetened greek yogurt, which is a great low-fat, low-calorie and high-protein alternative to an oil based dressing. As for that ranch flavor, this recipe uses a blend of freshly squeezed lemon juice, whole-grain mustard, garlic, dill and salt & pepper, YEP, that’s it!
Not only is this greek yogurt ranch super quick and easy to throw together, but it’s also great on a range of dishes! I love using this as a salad dressing of course, but it’s also so delicious as a dip for fresh-cut veggies, drizzled on top of roasted potatoes, as a cold pasta salad dressing or as a topping for my Smoked Chili Street Taco Recipe!
